INTEL are looking for interface device to transfer parallel I/O to serial cable (DP,HDMI).

From looking at TI website they found two devices that may fit :.

For transmit : DS90C3201

For receive : DS90C3202

One of the main requirements is device operating frequency form 8Mhz-125Mhz.

Other than that this device have a large package and when connecting 1400 I/O on board we will need 20 units on one board. This will make our board very large.

Can you recommend another device to fit these needs.

Hi Eli,

Based on the customer’s requirements, the DS90C3201/2 is the only chipset that meets the criteria for a wide parallel data bus within their frequency range. The closest alternative part would be the DS90CR483/4 48-bit Channel Link chipset, however the frequency range is only 33-112MHz.

I got the information that its EVM,FLINK3V10BT-RX /TX are obsolete.

Do we have new/other recomended EVM?

Hi Eli,

Unfortunately, since the DS90C3201/3202 are an older chipset the EVM's have been obsoleted due to the demand. However, I did a quick search and noticed Mouser (FLINK3V10BT-TX) and Digikey (FLINK3V10BT-RX) have 1 each in stock at the time of this posting.
