EQ and De-emphasis on DS50PCI402

Hi,

I'm currently working on a design using the DS50PCI402 repeater device which connects our main system board to a variety of different expansion boards. The expansion boards have different transceivers and layout which requires different settings for both EQ and de-emphasis. Part of the design is to auto-detect which expansion board is fitted and then set up the link accordingly. I'll be using the hardware configuration pins to set the relevant settings.

With this in mind, I would like confirmation whether the settings are determined at power up of the device and stay that way until powered down, or if they determine the settings on the fly so it won't matter if there is a sequencing issue with the circuitry controlling the pull up/down configuration.
