Hi,
Is it possible to feed the output of an LMH0376 (LVDS) to the input of a Gennum GV7601 without using a SDI cable driver in between?
Thank you in advance!
Walter

Hi Walter,
GV7601 is an SDI de-serializer with integrated equalizer and retimer built in. That is it integrates the functionality of the LMH0376. Can you please send us a block diagram for this application?
If for some reason this is what is needed, then as long as LMH0376 sees 100 Ohm differential on it's output you should be able to interface the output of the LMH0376 to the input of the GV7601 with 100 Ohm termination. Please AC couple these two devices since the common mode voltage for these two parts could be different.

Hi Nasser,
The goal is to simulaneously process a selection of two out of four SDI videos on the DM8168 video DSP.
The idea is to have four SDI inputs connected to four LMH0395 cable equalizers. The outputs of these are connected to the four inputs of one LMH0376. The LMH0376 primarily acts as a 4 x 2 cross matrix switch, providing a selection of two of the four SDI sources to two GV7601. Their outputs are connected to the two video input ports of a DM8168 video DSP.

Hi Walter,
Thanks for the clarification. If you need 4X2 switch you could consider DS25CP104A as well. This is a 4X4 switch but you can use just two outputs.

Hi Nasser,
Thank you for the hint.
I assume using the DS25CP104A the interfacing to the GV7601 would be the same as with the LMH0376?
I like the eye monitor of the LMH0376.
Best Regards
Walter
Hi Walter,
Since you mentioned you need a 4X2 mux then DS25CP104 would be able to address this need however for the eye monitor we must use LMH0376.
