Interface between optical transceiver and MUX DS25MB100T- regarding

Hi,

   Our optical transceiver vendor has suggested to connect the SERDES interface as shown below,

For your information the Optical transceiver transmitter ports are LVPECL (DC coupled) logic. We are connecting these pins to DS25MB100 MUX IN+/- pins. DS25MB100 already has internal termination, so please suggest how can we connect these devices.

Note: We already tried AC-coupled connection. It is working for continous transaction and not working for Burstmode transaction.

    I would have suggested AC coupling but it seems perhaps due to the RC time constant burst mode is not as reliable. 

    The schematic you have shown creates 50 Ohm termination for the DS25MB100. However, i am worried that your optical transceiver also has termination as well and this may create a double termination environment. Please check to make sure the eye amplitude and etc meet your optical module electrical requirements.

  •   Thank You Naseer. We are having this problem only for the Input interface of DS25MB100. As per the datasheet of the Optical transceiver, the RXD (output) pins are DC-Coupled LVPECL. The vendor suggested the following termination, But it is not working reliably.
