DS25CPxxx - Unused input pins

Hi Team,

Could you please tell me how to treat the unused input pins for DS25CPxxx devices, used in "PIN MODE" ?

I believe they could be left floating, however, please let us know if there is a recommendation.

** I am understanding that if the device is used in SMBus mode, they could be kept floating as SmartPWDN function will be enabled.

Hi Kawai,

The inputs can remain floating in SMbus mode with SmartPWDN function. When pin control is used I prefer to tie the minus (-) input side to GND and the plus (+) side to VDD through a 3.3K or similar resistor. this will ensure input noise is not propagated into the crosspoint resulting in sub-optimal signaling performance.
