Hello Team,

Could DS80EP100 support SATA3 interface including OOB signal ?

I believe this device is kind like a passive high pass filter, so I believe it could be used at SATA3 application, but in case please allow me to confirm.

    Hi Kawai,

    Yes the DS80EP100 can be used with OOB signaling.  Since this equalizer design is passive, the overall voltage gain at the OOB frequency will be about -6 dB or about 50% of the input level.  This should still be enough voltage to have good OOB signaling.  OOB signaling requires > 250mV amplitude.  So the starting OOB signal will need to be at least 500mV at the SATA3 Tx.
