TS3USB31E: Pin assignment

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TS3USB31E

Our customer has a question about TS3USB31E pin assignment.

In general, differential traces should be routed close together. So usb switch devices, which D+ and D- lines pass through, generally have differential pair signals on one side and have another differential pair signals on the opposite side.

But TS3USB31E has HSD+ and D+ on one side and has HSD- and D- on the opposite side. So differential pair signals have to be separated around the device.

Why does this device have the pin assignment? The customer thinks that TI has some reason for this pin assignment, so they would like know the reason.
