Is ISO15 a Opto isolators or Silicon oxide isolator?

    ISO15 uses Silicon dioxide as the isolation barrier; it is a digital isolator, and not an opto isolator.

    Digital isolators have several advantages compared to Opto Isolators but the biggest one is that digital isolator's performance doesn't degrade over time which is a known problem with Opto isolators, commonly known as Aging Effect. There are other advantages of digital isolators such as higher speed, lower power consumption, better efficiency, etc.
