Extending DS99R104-DS99R104 connection lenght

In a system consisting of DS99R103, DS99R104 and a display I need to extend the cable connection between DS99R104 and display to a total of 1 meter (or more).

Is DS90LV001 suitable for this in between of '103 and '104?

How long connection can be?

Hi Massimiliano,

The DS90LV001 can be used in between the DS99R103/104 to help improve the LVDS signal quality. However, I do not have any data regarding the amount of cable you can extend the link for.

I would recommend that you try using a cable driver and equalizer like the DS15BA101 and DS15EA101 buffer/equalizer pair to send the serialized data across. The DS15BA101 and DS15EA101 are designed with cable extension in mind. The app note below has more information about the amount of link extension that you can accomplish with this chipset:
