I apply MIL-HDBK-217F to predict the failure rate of SN65LBC180A.

My question is:How many transistors or MOS in this chip?

And I need the thermal resistance from junction to case (theta-jc) forSN65LBC180A.The datasheet provide only junction to ambient.

Hi Jason,

In terms of the failure rate, would it be possible for you to use the information found on the following site?

www.ti.com/.../estimator.tsp

The reason I ask is that we don't have the transistor count on hand for this device, and since the device has released quite some time ago (1994) I think it may be difficult to determine.

For the thermal junction-to-case resistance, I can check with our packaging team and get back with you. Which package are you interested in?

Here are the thermal parameters for the 14-pin SOIC variant of SN65LBC180A:

Theta JA (high K) = 78.8 C/W
Theta JC, top = 37.8 C/W
Theta JB = 33.1 C/W
Psi JT = 7.7 C/W
Psi JB = 32.9 C/W
