android sn65dsi86 bring up

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN65DSI86

Hi,

I use the sn65dsi86 to on my qualcomm android board, I can read/write the register, but no output for edp. In datesheet, It say "LP11 state on DSI channels A and B before EN assertion",It's mean I need to put the cpu's mipi dsi lane to lp11, when sn65dsi init?

  • Hello Steven,

It is required by the MIPI spec for the host to drive DSI outputs to LP11 prior to the transition to the HS mode. If DSI interface is driven to illegal states/protocol by the host, the SN65DSI8x may get into undesirable states.

  • Hi Joel,
Thank you.then lp11 mode, need the host to send display on command like 11 29,or just keep this mode? Did you use this IC on a android board? Can you give me some suggest to let it work? I think maybe I need to modify the mipi driver.
  • Hello Steven,

Sorry, we do not have details on the DSI drivers you need to contact the Linux community for further info on the driver for your architecture.
