TPS2024: Queries on Lifetime of TPS2024

Hi,

1. We intend to use it as charging detection switch, thus the switch will be in on state for about 3 hours everytime we charge the product,

2. Will the IC switch bear the load of 1A flowing through it over this sustained period

3. We can safely assume charging cycle to be around 10 times everyday for a prolonged usage.

4. Will the above things affect the lifetime of IC.

Hi, one more query on TPS2024. The Bill of Material of TPS20xxEVM-290 shows 0805 package for the 0.1uF Can 0603 package be used instead ?

Hi,
1.TPS2024 recomment max continuous current is 2A , So 1A is under the Max continuous current , it is OK.
2. If all the condition haven't exceed the datasheet claim, the device lifetime will not impact .
3. 0603 package can replace the 0805 package.
