TUSB1002EVM: USB 3.0 Gen 2 falls back to USB2.0 on connecting through redriver

We recently bought a TUSB1002 Evalboard and tried to connect a USB3.1/Gen 2 Camera to it.

On connect, it the camera falls back to the USB2 speed/protocol.

We found the hint that it was a good idea to implement ac-coupling capacitors on Rx-Pins to the redriver module.

Afterwards we changed the circuit to the schematic as it is shown on datasheet page 20, fig18. and soldered in some capacitors.

The current setup is to use a 1m Cable PC->Redriver and a

1.5m Cable Redriver-> Camera.

The camera is working when plugged directly into a USB3. Port.

So we assume it's something to do with the driver module.

I would be very glad if you could give me some pointers on how to handle this issue.

We don't have any oscilloscope here, so i cannot measure USB-Signal itself.

Also in the datasheet, p.14 there is some block diagram showing an RXTERM_EN Signal, nowhere else mentioned in the datasheet.

Is this a present Switch on the evalboard or on chip? do i have to solder this one in myself?

What is the VTerm Voltage level it's connecting the RX1P/N to?

        This is a known interoperability issue due to a mismatch between the Vterm- voltage in the TUSB1002 and the attached TX driver, this voltage variation leads to a detection issue, as you mentioned the workaround here is to include AC coupling capacitors on the TUSB1002 RX pair, we recommend to use 330uF so the total capacitance in the differential channel will meet the USB specifications.
