Hi Team,

My customer plan use TLK100 application EtherCat but have some question need you help.

1) Driver support or sample code?

Looks website have C code but data is empty. Could you help provide sample code?

2) How do we verify Ethercat master?

Hi Kuo,

TLK100 is a very old device, and if your customer is planning to start new development, it is strongly suggested to use of the DP83822 device. Please see the TIDA-00299 for a reference design for Ethercat use of DP83822.

Hi Sir,

We see open source driver for support TI TLK10x.
(PHY driver: git.kernel.org/.../dp83848.c.)
But we can not make sure whether it can use TLK100 and support EtherCAT master mode.
TLK110 is pin compatible with DP83848, can we use the DP83848/TLK10x driver?
Please help to confirm whether this driver can use EtherCAT master mode.

Hi Duke,

For the TLK100 to work with the driver you are pointing to, you will need to update the PHY Identifier value.
Line 20 shows:

#define TLK10X_PHY_ID 0x2000a210

However, for TLK100, this value needs to be modified to 0x2000a201.
