Good morning,

we need to implement a network communication between several TMDX570LC43HDK boards with syncronization based on 1588 PTP protocol,

the board is equipped with "DP83640 Precision PHYTER ™ - IEEE 1588 Precision Time Protocol Transceiver"

Halcogen produces HL_phy_dp83640.c and HL_phy_dp83640.h files

but it seems to me that there is absolutely no support on this feature from TI,

no examples available, the "DP83640 Software Design Guide and C Software Reference Library" is active but not available http://www.ti.com/tool/DP83640SW-LIB

Is it possible to have some support or guidelines from TI about this implementation?

    Hello Antonio,

    We do not currently have any 1588 experts on our team and I believe you are more likely to get useful help on this via the Ethernet E2E that supports the PHY since most of the 1588 features are implemented in the PHY. Also, there you will be able to get an answer whey the DP83640 Software Design Guide and C Software reference Library are not available. This may be a mistake that they are not aware of.

    Given all of these reasons, I will move your post to the other forum. If you still do not get the help you need, please private message me or repost and we can work on getting you to a reasonable solution.

    There is also some more reference information on the Tools and Software page of DP83640: www.ti.com/.../toolssoftware
