Hi Team,

you show the following diagram in the datasheet:

Are the additional 470nF and 330 Ohm necessary if you have all PCIe devices connected at startup? To my understanding you only need them for plug detection.

    Hi Simon,

    The external 330 ohm resistors are used to provide a current path to GND.  The internal LVPE801 termination will not trigger the PCIe receiver detect circuit by itself.

    I recommend to use the DS80PCI102.  These devices support Rx detection without external components.
