TPD4S214: Does V_OGT_IN need to be disabled if VBUS has 5V from external Host?

Hi,

Am I allowed to keep 5V on the V_OTG_IN pin even when there is an external 5V being supplied to VBUS? Basically I'm trying to determine whether or not I need to disable my internal 5V that I supply to V_OTG_IN when an external device is also providing 5V. Thank you!

Akbar,

You will have to stop sourcing VBUS when an external device is providing 5V. Many other systems have reverse current control systems that will disable the sourcing device if you provide any current to the bus.
