TPS2069: Fault drain connection to Vout

The datasheet for this part suggests connecting the Fault pin to Vin. I have seen designs where the fault line is instead connected to Vout to drain the output current. Is it ok to connect the fault line to the output? What are the design choices we can make to decide whether to connect to input or output? Thanks

Hi,

We don't recommend to connect fault to VOUT. Fault is an active low open-drain, so it need to be pull up to a stable voltage like Vin, so that fault pin can always be high as long as fault is not asset. Why do you consider to pull up fault to output?
