DP83865: Ultra Librarian footprint doesn't match datasheet

Hello,

I'm trying to use the DP83865 in a design and the ECAD I'm using is Altium. When I use this link:

https://webench.ti.com/cad/

I get a .bxl for ultra librarian. I then generate footprint and component symbol for Alitum. When I do this the pins on the power symbol don't match the data sheet. This is what I get in Altium.

The data sheet describes these power pins:

The power pins in the data sheet are no where to be found on the symbol. What am I missing here?

An example of what I'm talking about is 1V8_AVDD3, 2V5_AVDD2....

Hi Robbie,

If you are starting a new design with Gigabit Phy, I strongly suggest to use DP83867 instead.

Geet,

Thank you very much for the recommendation! I will get this part into Altium and start studying the data sheet.

Can you touch on why this is a better part? I am planning on using 1000Mb ethernet only with a kintex 7 fpga just to shed some light on the design this part will be interfacing with.

Also, Can the part number you recommended run off of 1.0V and 2.5V only?

Hi Robbie,

This is next generation Gigabit part and in volume production.

Yes, it can run from 2 power supplies. Refer to section 10, Fig 33 in datasheet.
