Please disregard the prior question.
Using "RESET" button in SigCon Architest corrected the problem and now all 6 devices remember TX DEM configuration.
It looks like having random data in the EEPROM has created "undetermined / unpredictable " state for some retimers in the group of 6 on the same SMB bus.
This problem was consistent from one prototype unit to another so there was some order in the chaos created. :)
