Hi Sir
I saw SN65HVD231 have Vref pin ,but TI the latest TCAN33x series this pin is NC not VREF
May I know the reason? Can TCAN33x replace SN65HVD231 directly ?
Thanks

Kai,
The Vref pin is meant to drive the recessive level on the CAN bus, and strengthen the signal to help with any deviations from that recessive voltage. Deviations in the recessive level can cause electromagnetic emissions that will affect other circuits in the system. The TCAN33x series is designed with emissions in mind, a different process and bus symmetry, to have lower emissions without the need for the Vref pin.
The TCAN33x can replace a SN65HVD23x device, the Vref pin isn't needed for proper functionality, so the NC can connect to that net.
Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.
