TLK1221: Can TLK1221 transmit 10 meters distance?

Dear all:

I will used two TLK1221 transmit signal between two board. Can TLK1221 transmit 5-10 meters distance with RX/TX ?

Can you help check the pull high/pull low circuit? Are there any design requirements that need attention? Thanks!

What is the data rate? Why do you have pull-up/pull-down resistors on the differential lines?

It is means we can not add Pull HIGNG/LOW resistance on TX/RX? But datasheet have a coupled mode transmisson design on page 13? It have pull HIGH and LOW resistance on TX/RX.

We want to know can TLK1221 transmit 10 meters distance? Do we need to add redriver? thanks

Hello,

10 meter is a little too long, and I recommend using pre-emphasis and equalization devices, such as DS15BA101/DS15EA101 or DS25BR120/ DS25BR110.

You don’t need pull-ups/pull-downs on the differential lines. Please see the Typical Application Circuit (Figure 12) on page 14 in the datasheet, and also the EVM schematics. The diagram in Figure 10 and 11 on page 13 shows the equivalent internal circuit in the receiver.
