ESD team,
Can you confirm if the ESD122 can be used for DisplayPort 1.4? I believe it should be fine since the datasheet says it supports DisplayPort 1.3, which has the same data rate per lane at 8.1 Gbit/s.
Our System Level ESD Protection Guide doesn't state the versions of DP that are relevant. sszb130c.pdf . That document gives a star to TPD4E02B04, but still gives an R to ESD122. I assume the reason for the star is the more dense packaging.
The customer is working with TDP142 for the redriver.
