HD3SS3415: PCIe switch from 16 lanes to two ch. of 8 lanes

Hello team,

Could you please advise if TI has the following solution.

My customer is looking for a PCIe switch, GEN3. (Max. bit rate, 8Gbps)

The host (SOM) is connected via 16 lanes to 2 FPGA’s are connected, each via 8 lanes bus.(See block diagram below).

Hi Shai,

The application you have drawn may require an active switch component. The HD3SS341x devices are purely passive switches.

Does each FPGA have an idependent 8-lane PCIe link?

Could the host system x16 be bifurcated to form 2 independent x8 PCIe links? This would allow a direct connection between the Host and the FPGAs without any PCIe switch in the datapath.

Closing the E2E thread. This application will likely need an active PCIe switch function to work correctly.
