        I used SN65HVD96DR chip, the circuit principle is as follows, but I tried 5pcs samples, but they could not communicate.Change for MAX485 can normal communication, why?Please help to find the reason

    I'm sorry for the misleading information. Unfortunately SN65HVD96DR is not a RS-485 transceiver. The device detects the bus active vs. idle modes, whose function is some similar to CAN protocol. TI parts compatible to MAX485 are THVD1520, THVD1419, etc. Here is a comparison table for your reference.

    If you're interested in the newly released TI RS-485, please check out this post to find the right specifications (data rate, ESD, common mode range, etc) for you.
