Does they need to change certain registers for this?

    Hello Noriyuki,

    The 10/12 bit selection is done on the deserializer side with the 914Q mode pin. Please see datasheet section 10.4.4

    The mode selection is communicated automatically to the 913Q through the back channel after power up
