Hi Team,

My customer considers using TPS25833-Q1.
It seems there is no EVM for TPS25833-Q1 but there is TPS25831Q1EVM-062 that TPS25831-Q1 is mounted.

Is it possible to evaluate TPS25833-Q1 function with TPS25831Q1EVM-062?
Could you tell me a difference between TPS25833-Q1 and TPS25831-Q1?

Hi Yaita,

These two device feature is same except the TPS25833 don't support short to battery function.

Customer can evaluate the 831 EVM for 833 .

My customer also considers using TPD2S300 (USB Type C Short-to-VBUS protection device).
*The application isn't required automotive grade.

Is "short to battery function" of TPS25831-Q1 similar to the function of TPD2S300?
If so, I will also suggest TPS25831-Q1 to my customer.

The 25831 is integrated the DCDC buck inside.

It is difficult with the TPD device.
