TPS65988EVM: tps65988-evm connect issue

Hi Aosker,

This may be due to an FTDI driver related issue. Did you try uninstalling and reinstalling the FTDI driver? Also, changing the USB port helps sometimes.

Does the FTDI device enumerate under Windows devices?

   When I plug micro USB into the computer from the debug board port, the windows device will automatically add COM3, COM4, com5 and com6. Does it mean that the FTDI driver is installed correctly?Now, it's not working properly in this situation. How can I solve my problem?

There are some known issues with the FTDI drivers and Windows OS environment.

Customer OS is Windows 10, and install 2.12.28 driver  but the problem remains the same.

This is Windows environment dependent, hence we also have an option to connect using a different adapter - Aardvark. It can be procured from here: https://www.totalphase.com/products/aardvark-i2cspi/

Can you also try using a different machine to test FTDI?

Let me research more regarding the issue in the meantime.

I have used two different brands of computers to test FTDI, both of the OS are win10, the results are the same.

Please capture scope trace of "Sweep I2C Address" to see whether its a GUI issue or HW level issue.
