ONET4201LD: Can I drive this laser ?

Part Number: ONET4201LD

I am following figure 24 in the datasheet in my design. Figure 24 shows a LD's anode common with PD's cathode.

But I really need to drive this laser (QLD-1550-40S). Unlike the application in figure 24, this laser has the LD's cathode in common with PD's anode.

Is it possible to drive this laser using ONET4201LD ?

I checked and LD cathode in common with PD anode has not been verified.

what is not verified exactly? Your reply is a little ambigious can you please clarify.

Do you mean you couldn't verify the configuration in the laser's datasheet I posted.

Or do you mean you couldn't verify if such a laser can be driven using ONET4201LD.

Hi Abdullah,

Based on evaluation of ONET4201LD, we have not characterized or tested with a laser with the configuration you noted. Therefor we recommend using ONET4201LD with the laser configuration noted in the data sheet.
