DS50PCI402: Return Loss

Dear Technical Support Team,

According to the datasheet, Return loss specs such as RLRX-DIFF and RLRX-CM show minus dB(-21dB,-20dB,-11.5dB).

I think that the Return loss shows plus dB. If minus dB is correct, could you inform of me about the original formula to calculate the return loss(minus dB)?

this data is directly from measurement with network analyzer , not from any equation.

Hi TTD,

The more negative return loss, it means there is less reflections or the more signal is delivered to the load. So you want return loss to be negative.

To measure this, first calibration is done with target load impedance, and then DUT is put under test.
