Hi all

Would you mind if we ask TL16C550D?

<Question1>
Data bus pins have input and output function.
So, when we consider input capacitance and output capacitance, should we refer to ELECTRICAL CHARACTERISTICS on the datasheet?

<Question2>
We can not judge the internal construction of data bus pins.
Simply, can we understand input capacitance and output capacitance?
Or, should we consider composite capacitance between input cap and output cap?

It sounds like you are understanding correctly. The data pins are capable of being both inputs and outputs.

The input capacitance and output capacitance of pins on the device (other than CLK) are found where you noted in the Electrical Characteristics.

Regarding your second question, the data pins operate either as input or output (not a composite of the two).

Ok, we got it.

We have additional question.
-In case of Hiz which means - transition from input to output or from output to input, should we consider previous state's capacitance?
Our customer concerns whether the range is within 6-10pF or not.
(We assume that there is no big effect.)

Of course, and good to hear from you again! I do not think that you would be able to guarantee this, as the output stage circuitry would still be a consideration.

Also, I agree with your observation. I would not expect to see extremely significant variation as this pin changes operation.
