DS92LV3222: FPGA directly connects to Channel Link II Deserializer instead of the Serializer

Hi Team,

A customer would like to know if it is possible to interface the Channel-Link II Deserializer directly to an FPGA instead of using the corresponding Serializer. They have an application where 8 Links have to be connected to an FPGA which ends up in huge amount of parallel lines. He also wants to know if the serial signal protocol (encoding, scrambling etc.) an intellectual property of TI or open for customers.

Hello Danilo,

this is theoretically possible, if they implement exactly the encoding/decoding technique we are using. But here is the problem, this is our IP which we are not sharing with customers!
