TCAN1145-Q1: CAN start-up time in TCAN1145

Part Number: TCAN1145-Q1

Hi Team,

Our customer has 2 questions below for TCAN1145-Q1

1. What is the start-up time In TCAN1145 Can IC when switching to active mode?
2. What registers are used for configuring the filters for partial networking

Thanks,

Jonathan

  • Hi Jonathan,

Pages 9-12 of the datasheet detail all the timing specifications of the device. It takes 2-4 ms for the device to be powered on. From there the device is in standby mode and there are multiple ways to get it into normal mode. For instance if you were to send an SPI command to get it into normal mode it would take a maximum of 70us. If you were to send a WUF then the timing would be completely dependent on the length of your WUF. However, all the timing requirements can be found in the datasheet.

This application note details the process on how to set up partial networking with this device. It goes over all the necessary registers that must be configured.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

    Best,

    Chris
