It is known from the specification that DS90UB925 can support YUV data.
When 925 paired with 940,If the input is YUV422-8b, I have some questions as bellow : Thanks!
1.can I connect the data bus into 925 DIN0 to DIN7 pins? Frame valid(FV) to 925 VS pin? Line valid(LV) to 925 HS pin or DE pin ?
2.How to configure 925/940 registers to work this? (I see the D/S, there no any registers Example )

YUV422-8b--->UB925--->UB940--->CSI(YUV422-8b)

By the way,my consumer used UB940 in currently design ,so they can't use 913/954 for the Application .

You should connect to R[7:0] on 925 and set 940 register 0x6B to 0x1E for YUV422-8bit.
R[7] is the MSB.

But,the register 0x6B can't set to 0x1E ,that is only Reg0x6B [7:4] OFMT、Reg0x6B [3:2]IFMT.
How to configure OFMT/IFMT to work this?
If follow the options(YUV422 8-bit) in the d/s table(page41) , then IFMT.:00(RGB444),Is it right?
But i think UB940 didn't know the data is RGB or YUV in FPD-link, IFMT must be set correctly.
like ub954/ub913 needs to be set the link to RAW10 mode to processed L/H 8-bit data and change CSI datatype ,
How does UB940 know that the data comes from the input of UB925 R[7:0] or G[7:0] or B[7:0]?

You are correct.
IFMT should be set to RGB444 and OFMT should be set to YUV422.
The RGB444 is a HDMI terminology basically means full RGB color.
The 925 will output R, G, B to 940 in a know format and 940 will repacketize the data following the 0x6B register.
