TCAN1042HGV-Q1: Substitutes with TCAN1042

Part Number: TCAN1042HGV-Q1

To whom it may concern,

Due to supply chain issues I am trying to find an alternate to the TCAN1042HGVDRBRQ1 part. I see that the TCAN1051 is available to purchase with same footprint. Can you let me know what are the differences between the chips that I need to be aware of, and is it a drop-in replacement?

STB is always tied low in the design.

  • Since the STB pin is always tied low in your application, using the TCAN1051 will leave the S pin (silent mode) always pulled low so the device will always be in normal mode. So with your application, the TCAN1051 and TCAN1042 would have identical functionality.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.
