TUSB8041: abnormal PID of TUSB8041

When this test is run, can the customer confirm if a FS / LS device is connected downstream of the hub?

This PID is unexpected, but we are looking at possible reasons it is occurring.  Can you also confirm if the customer is using external EEPROM or SMBUS mode?

I haven't receive any reply from the customer, but I have confirmed that he didn't use external EEPROM, and also didn't use SMBUS to connect MCU.

Does the hub work when the incorrect PID is reported?  It looks like it is the USB 3.0 side is reporting as 4040.  How long of a power on reset is the hub getting?

The customer replied to me that there is one board which PID is not correct among ten boards,  the PID is not correct even though there is no any LS/FS device connected the downstream port, and he'd like to confirm if  he could  use the I2C of CPU to connect the hub, and read the PID of the hub by SMBUS, is it feasible?

Yes, the default 7-bit address is 44h, but it can be changed based on the pin settings:

The TUSB8041 slave address is 1000 1xyz, where: • x is the state of GANGED/SMBA2/HS_UP pin at reset, • y is the state of FULLPWRMGMTz/SMBA1/SS_UP pin at reset, and • z is the read/write bit; 1 = read access, 0 = write access.
