Hi team,

I am studying fault case of TUSB211-Q1.

When resistor value for EQ setting (for example condensation of the board) is out of specified datasheet range,

which EQ level is set internally?

For example, the resistor is below?

1. < 95 ohm

2. > 105ohm and < 1710 ohm

3. > 1890 ohm and < 3861 ohm

4. > 3939 ohm and < 8645 ohm

5. > 9555 ohm

Hi,

Resistor used to set boost level should compile with EQ table in section 6.5 Electrical Characteristics of the datasheet. Outside these ranges the boost level may not be set correctly (invalid setting).

Hi Malik,

I would like to know the fault mode behavior for the safe system design.

If the boost level is not set correctly (invalid setting), what is the worst case scenario?

Hi Shinji,

The worst case scenario would be the desired BOOST setting is not selected and eye diagram will not be at its optimal state.
