HD3SS3212: Spec questions

Part Number: HD3SS3212

Hi Sirs,

Sorry to bother you.

We'll use TI HD3SS3212 to replace NXP CBTL02042A, but some spec need confirm.

  1. Is TI’s parameter tested under channel is ON condition?
  2. Is the less differential return loss, the better performance? There is 7dB between you and NXP at frequency is 2.5GHz.
  3. Is the bigger differential crosstalk, the better performance? There is 5dB between you and NXP at frequency is 2.5GHz.

  • Hi Lin,

Please let me verify this information with the team. ASAP I will be back with the answers.

  • Hello Lin,

A1. Yes, the parameter was measured with the channel in ON condition.
A2. The biggest value for insertion loss is best performance, I mean, -0.8dB > -1.2dB, in this case the transferred power is better when RL = -0.8dB. As you know when the frequency increases the transfer function is worse.
A3. The smaller value for crosstalk is the best performance, I mean -35dB > -30dB, in this case the coupling between signals is lower when XTALK = -35dB.
