DP83867E: how to extend the maximum length for SGMII signal?

Hi there,

I read from "TMS320C6474 SERDES Implementation Guidelines" that the maximum length for SGMII is no more than 50cm:

SGMII: No more than 20 inches (50 cm) pin-to-pin, for 6-mil (.15mm) wide traced over FR4 material

I think this requirement also applies to DP83867. For my application, my SOC and DP93967 is on two different PCBs, they are about 1 meter away. So how can I extend the this distance?

May be by using LVDS buffer like DS25BR100?
