TDP158: tmds output signal dropping to ground periodically

Part Number: TDP158

Gents,

I'm working with a design that converts DVI to TMDS using the TDP158. I've verified that the signals going to the diff inputs of the TDP158 are correct; however the output signals periodically drop and go to ground. The durations are around 1-2s wide in a repeating pattern. So I'll see the signal for a few seconds being output with blanking periods visible, and then all outputs will drop to ground, and then the output signals will come back, and so forth. Almost as if the outputs are going high-Z for some reason....

More interestingly, all outputs go to ground at the same time and also return to normal at the same time, so it appears to be a chip wide event.

Things I have checked:

Stable 3.3V and 1.1V supply.

Stable OE signal @3V with 150us reset applied after power up

Stable HPD signal @5V

No drops on DVI input signals.

Default register programming, TDP158 responds @ 0x5e.

Do you guys have any trouble shooting steps beyond what we have checked above?

Thanks
