TIC12400-Q1: Matrix mode configuration

Part Number: TIC12400-Q1

Hi team,

I feel confused about the matrix mode setting in TIC12400-Q1 datasheet. It said when using matrix polling, the wetting current CSI should be higher than CSO. If taking a 5*5 matrix as an example, does that mean the current of IN4 should be higher than IN10, IN5 should be higher than IN11, IN6 should be higher than IN12...?

But in datasheet, as shown in below picture, it set WC_CFG0[20:18] > WC_CFG0[8:6] , which means the wetting current of IN4 is lower than IN10. Is it a typo? Which one is correct? Thanks.

  • Hi Arie,

For Matrix mode configuration in TIC12400-Q1, please refer to the highlighted part of the datasheet which clear states to set higher wetting current for the sinks (IN4-IN9) than the sources (IN10-IN15).

This is also highlighted in the programming guidelines section to have the wetting current CSI higher than CSO.

Based on the settings for CSI and CSO for matrix mode, looks like the WC_CFG0 is conflicting the criteria - please follow the above settings and sections of the datasheets while I get the Programming requirement bullets updated.

    Thanks

    Saminah
