PCA9306: VREF pin going to zero

Part Number: PCA9306

Hi team,

My customer had a question regarding PCA9306. If either VREF pin goes to zero will the switch turn off? Or would it be better to control this using the EN pin? In the schematic (I can provide via email), +3V3_AUX is always on, but +1V8_S0 may turn off. In this case we want the VREF2 side to be isolated from the VREF1 side.

Thank you for your support!

Errol

  • Hey Errol,

If the PCA9306 if set up on the schematic correctly, then the PCA9306 should become high impedance (turn off) when either Vref1 or Vref2 is unpowered/GND.

You can email me at duynguyen@ti.com for me to double check if you would like.
