Hi Team,
May I know the minimum threshold for DP83848Q in 100BASE-TX mode?
It seems IEEE802.3 doesn't have specific requirements for ethernet.
Thanks and Best Regards!
Hao

Hi Hao,
Can you be more specific in which parameter or feature you are interested in?
Regards,
Justin
Hi Hao,
We do not specify the 100M receive voltage threshold for 100Base-TX.
What is the reason for driving the request for this parameter?
Regards,
Justin
Hi Justin,
My customer wants to know the receive voltage threshold so that they can judge if their signal chain can work normally. Because there are FPC is used in the signal chain.
Thanks and Best Regards!
Hao
Hi Hao,
There is not data showing the minimum receive voltage threshold the DP83848Q can accept as it is dependent on multiple factors such as cable characteristics and length as well as signal integrity.

Justin
Hi Justin,
May I know why Ethernet doesn't have this spec?
Because almost all the interface such as SPI/I2C/LVDS has the requirements for the minimum received voltage.
Thanks and Best Regards!
Hao
Hi Hao,
The IEEE specifies the transmitter and channel specifications that vendors must adhere to. Unfortunately, because this device was developed so long ago, I do not have the ability to access data that may have characterized this device at the time of release.
Thank you,
Justin
