Hi,
I am using TPS65988 in my design.
My Bootstrap DIV value is 0.909.
In this case, only VBUS1 to PPHV1 path is closing whereas VBUS2 to PPHV2 path is not closing.
Please help me resolve this

Hello Baghiya,
Is your board booting up from SPI flash? or the failure occurs only in default configuration?
Thanks
Prajith
Hello Baghiya,
Let me clarify, "...VBUS2 to PPHV2 path is not closing" do you mean this switch is not closing even if only Port B is connected to external source? Please describe the test procedure for me to recreate it.
Thanks
Prajith
Yes.
The internal SINK path is not closing even it is the only power source that exists
Hello Baghiya,
Might be the PD controller taking the configuration from SPI flash in your case. Default configuration 5 enables only the external path not internal. Could you check if the configuration from SPI flash is loaded instead of default?
Thanks
Hi Prajith,
Then my PP_HV1 should also be not working.
But, how it is closing?
Hi Baghiya,
That is why I wanted you to check whether the configuration is loaded from SPI flash.
Thanks
Prajith
Hi Prajith,
Even when the SPI Flash is disconnected, I am able to observe the same.
Hello Baghiya,
We have seen issues in the past due to higher tolerance of ADCIN1 resistors (R1 and R2). Hope you are using 1% tolerance.
Another point, do not connect ADCIN1 pin directly to ground or 3V3 rail, hope this is also taken care.
Thanks
Prajith
Hello Baghiya,
I just tested configuration 5 on my EVM and seeing expected behavior. Are you able to reproduce the issue on EVM?
Hi Prajith,
I am unable to reproduce the issue in EVK.
It's board specific.
But the configurations are the same. I have checked it multiple times
Hi Bhagiya,
We had discussed this issue offline, do we need to keep this thread open ?
Thanks
Prajith
