Are the MAX3232IPW and MAX3232IPWR parts completely the same except for the packing quantity?

    Ruda,

    The only difference between MAX3232IPW and MAX3232IPWR is the non-R has the option of only delivering up to 90 units in a tube, while the R version has the option of up to 2000 units in cut tape, digi-reel, or tape and reel. So yes, the only difference is the quantity of devices that can be delivered.
