The following is our application scenario. 10G data of SFP + is obtained through SN65LVCP114,Ethernet switching chips that pass through the backboard to the other single board,

10G KR mode is used for the back port, can it be used in this way?, thanks!

Hi Neal,

SN65LVCP114, DS100KR401, DS100KR800, or other linear redrivers can be used for KR applications.

Hi，

The CIN/COUT of SN65LVCP114 is connected with SFP+,between is the SFI interface,

SFI mode is used for C port and KR mode is used for A/B port. Can it be applied in this way?

Is there a need for intermediate interface conversion devices?

Hi Neal,

I believe this should be fine. LVCP114 is a linear redriver and duplicates or replicates the input to the best of its linearity. Please note figure 34 of the data sheet. In this example, 14Gbps NRZ BERT signal is used.

How many inches can we transfer to?

how much dB can I compensate for?

Hi Neal,

SN65LVCP114 gain is optimized for 14Gbps or 7GHz nyquist. At 10.3125Gbps gain would be lower than what is noted in table 3 by about 1 to 2dB.
