TUSB3410: Using TUSB3410 with an external oscillator.

Hello,

I'd like to use TUSB3410 with an external oscillator. (not crystal)

I have following questions.

1. How do we choose between 1.8V internal regulator and external 1.8V power source? Is there any risk using internal regulator? (Some reference design using internal one, but some using external voltage divider.)

2. It seems that 1.8V 12MHz oscillator should be used, could you please tell me recommended voltage range of X1/CLKI using 1.8V oscillator? (Min & Max of Vih, Min and Max of Vil)

1. Terminal VREGENz selects internal or external 1.8V regulator. There are no risks using either one, when the internal regulator is enabled the power consumption will be higher.
2. I will ask to the designer and come back here asap.

Hello,
VIH MIN=0.7 VDDS
VIL MAX=0.3 VDDS
Where VDDS is the 1.8V power supply.
