ISO7741: Consideration for VCM in CMTI spec

Part Number: ISO7741

Hi

I see the VCM is defined as 1200V in CMTI spec. could  you please share is there any considerations for VCM=1200V? the CMTI performance will be lower if lower/higer VCM is used?

  • Hi Luo:

Thanks for posting your question on E2E!

There is no specific reason behind selecting VCM=1,200V from the device point of view. This is primarily due to the CMTI tester capabilities.

We generally expect the CMTI performance to be better at lower VCM by design, however, we don't have any quantitative data to share. In addition, we don't have any data to share with higher VCM values due to CMTI tester limitations. Also, please note that we don't recommend operating the device higher than the rated working voltage.

    Hope this helps!
