ISO3082: About IO(Z) parameter

Part Number: ISO3082

Hi, support team

My customer has the questions as follow:

The IO(Z) parameter description in the ISO3082DW manual is not very detailed.
I would like to consult the specific test method for this parameter.
When the RO pin is in the high-impedance state, what conditions are imposed to test?
The manual only indicates the input state, but the output state does not indicate the applied voltage?

Thanks so much.

Best regards,
Yuki

  • Hi Yuki,

Thank you for posting to E2E!

I apologize that the datasheet is not so clear. The conditions for "R" pin to be in a high-impedance state are listed on Table 3 in Section 8.4 of the datasheet, copied below. This depends mostly on the EN pin (/RE) state and Vcc1 voltage level:

The recommended voltage range at pins A or B individually is -7V to +12V.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

    Respectfully,
    Manuel Chavez

  • Hi Yuki,

To follow up on the information above, we spec I(o)z by measuring current flowing into or out of the "R" pin while it is connected to its local Vcc and GND, respectively, while in the high-impedance state.

    Thank you,
    Manuel Chavez
