Alternative to ADUM6211 (Dual-Channel Isolators with Integrated DC-to-DC Converters)

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ISOW7821, ISOW7741, ISOW7841

Hi,

do we have an alternative to the ADI ADUM6211?

The TI BOM tool does not list anything.

  • Hi Josef,

    Thanks for reaching out.

ADuM6211 is available in 20-pin SSOP package as against their conventional 16-pin SOIC package of ADuM6201. Hence, we do not have a direct pin-to-pin replacement device for this. If pin-to-pin compatibility is not a requirement, then you could use the ISOW7821 that supports similar functionality but in a different package while offering much higher output power.

Since these device integrate a DC/DC converter that is switching at a very high frequency, meeting radiated emissions (RE) requirements of customer's application can be challenging based on the RE standard and limits. If RE performance is important then I recommend customer to consider our second generation ISOW device, ISOW7741, which offers significant improvements over the first generation devices, ISOW78xx.

I am copying below a link to another E2E post that summarizes the differences between ISOW7841 and ISOW7741 and also presents the RE performance of ISOW7741. Let me know if you have any questions, thanks.
